Tout au long de mon parcours, j’ai travaillé sur l’effort mental et j’ai à cœur d’identifier les situations et facteurs favorisants (ex. motivation, charge de travail, bien-être) et aussi altérants l'engagement (ex. pression temporelle, pathologie mentale, fatigue cognitive). L’effort mental est ici défini comme le niveau d’activation de l’organisme pour atteindre un but. Nous, doctorants et masters 1 & 2 sous ma direction, utilisons une approche comportementale couplée à des mesures de l’activité cardiovasculaire et cérébrale (potentiels évoqués via l’électroencéphalographie).

Sur la base d’une meilleure compréhension fondamentale des facteurs de l’effort mental, nous proposons des remédiations et des situations afin de favoriser l'engagement et le bien être dans le monde du travail et aussi dans la pathologie mentale.
